5 Success Habits Im Hooked On |

If there is one thing I’ve learnt over the past 2 years of running this blog – or more like had drilled into my brain – is that if you want to be successful in your career….

Then you HAVE success habits. 

Because without habit, the success you crave won’t materialise.

You see, success – however you measure it – is the direct result of your daily focus and daily action.

As I sit here typing this post, surrounded by chaos and boxes galore, I realised, this couldn’t be more relevant.

Currently, I’m surrounded by boxes and my little home in London is a mess. My life here is coming to an end and as this thought hit me, I started to question how did I get here? How did this moment come to be?

I’m beyond excited to be returning home to Australia but how did it happen? How did I get to this stage.

If you truly want to wake up excited to start the day and have a career you love and the lifestyle of your dreams…

If you want to be happy and less stressed in your own life..

Then you HAVE to make success a daily habit.

It’s all about taking those small daily steps, that when combined, lead up to a big result.

So let’s break down those small habits that I’m totally hooked on.

This simple hack has stopped overwhelm in its tracks.

In particular, when dealing with emails.

You know the story, you check your email zillion times a day but your inbox just gets bigger.

Instead of constantly reading emails every time an email arrives in your inbox, allocate chunks of time to specifically read and respond to emails during the day. Just like any other meeting, schedule time into your diary each day to deal with that overflowing inbox.

Your inbox will be clutter free in no time and you won’t be working so hard to keep your inbox empty.


Being up early at 5-6am is a magical time of the day, it is so peaceful and I love the quiet solitude. It’s the time where I feel empowered and alive.

By setting aside time first thing in the morning, nothing can get in the way of what’s important to progress your career.

This time can bring peace and tranquillity to your life, especially if you have a day jam-packed with meetings which are an essential morning habit for career success.


If you want to be motivated, energetic and able to attract success into your life, having a morning routine and practice it daily will definitely get you there.

By changing the way you wake up in the morning, you can transform any area of your life. All before breakfast.

Most mornings I rise before 6am and spend one hour focusing on my goals. Successful mornings generate focused, productive, successful days.

Use your first hours well, and everything flows from it.


When you have energy and you are fighting fit, it’s easy to slay the day. If you are feeling sluggish and unmotivated, you can get down in the dumps pretty quickly.

Many years ago I was overweight, unmotivated and generally just in a major slump in my life. My health was terrible, I was constantly getting sick and I knew something had to give.

So I signed up to a fitness challenge by Tone It Up and I’ve never looked back. Honestly, now that my health and diet are on track, I can’t remember the last time I was sick!

As part of my morning routine, I always carve out some time to get a sweat session in. I kind of go a little mad if don’t work out.


Rejection is rough, no matter how you slice it.

But it’s also an inescapable fact of life, and our ability to deal with failure and rejection has a hand in determining how successful and happy we are.

Instead of looking at a difficult situation as a failure and wallowing in self-loathing…

Reframe your thinking.

Ask yourself, how can I learn from this moment?

Your answers will surprise you, not to mention give you a little confidence boost.

If you’re itching to create success on your own terms, then you need to start incorporating some success habits into your daily life.

Next time you think you have failed, reframe your thinking, create a morning routine that’s exciting and batch similar tasks together.
